Beluga DIY Paper Toy Postcard #058

The pre-scored fold lines made this little monkey come together in about twenty minutes, and the postcard thickness keeps it sturdy enough to stand on my desk. I was honestly surprised how much personality it has for something that started flat.

I’m not usually patient enough for DIY kits, but this postcard kept me oddly focused for a whole evening. The pre-scored folds line up perfectly, and the finished monkey looks impressively 3D even from across the room.

The tabs punched out cleanly and the 3D monkey stood up in about twenty minutes of folding. It’s such a clever little desk ornament now, and I love that it arrived flat as a postcard.
