Sobre el artista

Horrible Adorables son las creaciones de Jordan Elise Perme y Christopher Lees, un equipo de marido y mujer de Cleveland, Ohio. Se conocieron en el Cleveland Institute of Art, donde Jordan se graduó con su BFA en Estudios de Fibra y Materiales, y Chris estaba formándose en bellas artes después de completar su BS en Ingeniería Mecánica.
 
Jordan y Chris dan vida a sus esculturas blandas organizando meticulosamente patrones de escamas de fieltro sobre formas talladas a mano. Los personajes resultantes tienen cualidades que son a la vez caricaturescas y extrañamente realistas. Horrible Adorables son extrañas criaturas híbridas de un mundo fantástico. Sus expresiones faciales y posturas revelan emociones reconociblemente humanas.

I've been collecting folk tale pins for a while, and the plaque setup on this one is way more detailed than I expected. The Big Bad Wolf design is genuinely clever, and the colors pop without looking cheap. It's the first one in a series, so I'm already watching for the next release.
