Über den Künstler

Horrible Adorables sind die Kreationen von Jordan Elise Perme und Christopher Lees, einem Ehepaar aus Cleveland, Ohio. Sie trafen sich am Cleveland Institute of Art, wo Jordan ihren BFA in Faser- und Materialstudien machte und Chris nach seinem BS in Maschinenbau eine Ausbildung in bildender Kunst anstrebte.
 
Jordan und Chris erwecken ihre Soft-Skulpturen zum Leben, indem sie akribisch Muster aus Filzschuppen auf handgeschnitzte Formen anordnen. Die resultierenden Charaktere haben Eigenschaften, die gleichzeitig cartoonhaft und unheimlich realistisch sind. Horrible Adorables sind seltsame Hybridkreaturen aus einer fantastischen Welt. Ihre Gesichtsausdrücke und Körperhaltungen offenbaren erkennbar menschliche Emotionen.
